A few days ago Mike and I set off on an adventure on fraser island in this beast:
As soon as we got there we got approached by a dingo which was pretty cool
Then i squished mike
Saw lots of pretty lakes and cliffs, then set up camp and had a bonfire and got massively drunk. In the morning we found out that we had been teaching everyone at the campsite including to the tour guide how to kill dingos, sharks and crocs in 4 simple steps. We also found a tutorial video that we didnt remember making!
Neither of us have any recollection at all of taking this photo, but considering the state we were in it surely has to be one of the best self-timer photos I have ever laid eyes upon
Mike was feeling a bit delicate the next day
But we went and saw this cool rusted shipwreck
Saw a plane take off from the beach
The had another camp fire and a relatively early night as we were still in pretty bad shape from the night before.
Then today we went to Lake Mckenzie which was amazing, water was warm and really clear. We managed to convince ourselves there would be deadly water-spiders in there though and so didnt go too deep.
There were some americans near us so we had to look extra-super-cool to impress them
Heading down to Australia Zoo first thing in the morning tomorrow,
and with this picture, we bid thee farewell.

The Whitsundays
Had another barbeque on the beach last night. Then as we couldnt really find somewhere decent to park up and sleep in our car without getting a fine, we decided to just sleep on the beach. Found out this morning that it was the coldest night of the year here so far!
Then today we took the 'big fury' out to the Whitsunday Islands, where we went snorkeling on the best reef we have seen so far and then went to whitehaven beach, which has the finest sand in the world. We tried brushing our teeth in the sand, which is apparently the done thing, but it was just like having a mouthful of sand.
We fed all our left over prawn heads to this little cutie.

Airlie Beach
Even though its called Airlie beach, there isnt actually a proper beach here, so we spent the day by the "lagoon" as the weather was glorious. I think even Mike may have got a tan!
Then Mike did some deadlifts on the beach cos he's hard
Tomorrow we are getting a boat to the Whitsunday islands, apparently the sand there is so fine that you can brush your teeth with it but we arent really sure how one would go about doing that. Then Fraser island after that for a three day 4x4 adventure, then byron bay for a few nights out, Brisbane for some shopping and then back to sydey in about 20 days time to sell the car and say bye to oz.

Bowen
Drove down to a small town called Bowen today. Found a really nice little beach and did a bit of scuba diving there.
Then we went on a quest to find another beach we had heard about which is apparently always deserted and after a spell of rock climbing we found it and it was completely empty!
Then after some more rock climbing we found this place. When in Rome (Parents may want to skip over the next photo)
Then we drove down to Airley beach and slept by the side of the road. Really nice chilled day

Barrier Reef Baby!
Last night we drove up to palm cove and had a barbie on the beach then built another beach fire. Considered sleeping there but apparently its croc territory and we didnt want any funny business.
There was a night out somewhere in the last few days
Then this morning we got up early and got a boat to the great barrier reef for a spot of snorkeling. There was a buffet on the boat which we absolutely dominated. Reef was awesome and we got lots of pics and vids on mikes videocam and my underwater disposable cam, they'll go up at some point.
Me and corey looking freshhh
Have our last night out in cairns tonight, so have a whole bunch of challenges planned (DPUs etc). Should be an interesting night. Then heading down to Townsville to rent choppers for a day. Peace
